Easter is here and gone already...WOW!

The new baby mule.. born 4-12-09

Wyatt at Easter Egg Hunt

Kimberly and Brailee at Egg hunt

Brailee anxiously awaiting the start of the egg hunt

Wow... I cant believe that Easter is already here and gone! Where has the time gone? Hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday. I had a 4 day weekend from work and it was well needed. We had a fun filled weekend for sure. On Friday Kimberly and Wyatt had stayed all night with friends, so Jason, me and Brailee went over and visited with my father in law since we don't get to see him that much. On Saturday we took the kids to the Easter egg hunt at Days Creek high School where the kids made a haul! Kimberly found 76 eggs, Wyatt found 57 eggs and Brailee found 36 eggs! It was the best egg hunt I have ever been to. It was so organized and not that many people so the kids weren't crowded. They had a blast! Needless to say we didn't dye eggs that night due to the over abundance of eggs collected at the hunt that day! LOL! On Sunday we had an unexpected birth of a baby mule. She made her grand appearance in the wee hours of Easter Morning. She is such a cutie! We headed over to my Aunt Beckie's house to have an egg hunt and eat some dinner! I got to meet my cousins boyfriend, Ben, for the first time, and since he is her first REAL boyfriend, it was great meeting him. Tiffinnie and I are have always been close and I am so glad to finally see her happy and glowing. She deserves it! I also had the pleasure of seeing ultrasound pictures of my newest niece or nephew due to be born in October 2009 to my brother and sister in law! I have to say that I think the baby was absolutely beautiful AND it makes me one proud Auntie! I also think that my brother was pretty proud to share those pictures! My mom and dad made a surprise visit. It was short lived because they were under a load but we had a good visit. Then Sunday evening when we got home I received some more GREAT news... My good friends Melissa and Neal welcomed their new little bundle of joy, a pretty little princess named Aubrey Grace, into the world at 6:07 pm. She weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 inches long! WOW! All are doing well and big sister Ella is very happy with her new sister. Congratulations to Mommy, Daddy and Big Sister Ella. Hope to see you all soon. The kids returned to school on Monday, and Jason and I returned to work, so life is back to normal here. Hope everyone is doing well. Love to all.

Life in the fast lane..

WOW! Been awhile since I have posted anything. For some reason I have been unable to upload my pictures lately. But after a few tweaks it seems to be working again. THANK GOODNESS!

So where to begin.....

I finally got a new car. We drove clear to battleground Washington to find it but its what we wanted. After searching craigslist and the classifieds for weeks on end we ended up narrowing it down to 3 cars. We were looking at Dodge Intrepid's. Jason didn't want another van (as he calls them grandma mobiles) and I really didn't want to have to buy gas for a SUV (like a Tahoe or suburban) we decided to go with a bigger car but with a sporty look. I ended up with a 1999 Cherry in color, Dodge Intrepid. Its a very nice car and very reliable. I love it!
Our dog Pixie had 8 puppies on March 31st via Emergency C-Section at midnight. So we are now the proud owners of 8 new puppies! They are very cute but I am still not sure if they were worth the 800.00 vet bill I have to pay! LOL As for mom and puppies they are all doing well. And thank goodness Jason was home because I was at work when it happened and he had to assist in the delivery. They were all delivered and healthy within 1 hour!
In other news... My brother Tommy and sister in law Kaci announced that they are expecting and due in October. Lets all keep them in our thoughts and prayers that this pregnancy will go smoothly and no complications arise. Congratulations Tommy and Kaci! I am so excited that I get to be an aunt again, and I can not wait to meet my niece or nephew soon! My dear friend Melissa and her husband Neal are expecting their bundle of joy any day now! I am anxiously awaiting Aubrey's arrival. I will leave you with a few pictures of our family bowling a few weekends ago.

Hope all is well with everyone and that you are all enjoying the Spring weather. I will try to stay up on blogging now that I can upload pictures again =)

Where did January go?

So..... It has been a while since I have blogged but there has been so much going on in our lives! I can't even believe that January is already gone. Only 11 more months in 2009. CRAZY! All is well here though. Kimberly went skiing with her school on Friday. It was her first time ever and she had a blast. She will be going again this Friday and next Friday too. I was unable to attend this week but hope to be able to go next week. Wyatt will be going to basketball camp this weekend coming up and will be playing at halftime on the 13th. He is really excited. Jason actually has worked this whole week! FINALLY! Its been a long and hard winter for him. I am working steady again. FOR NOW! Things have been slow at the hospital. Hopefully they will start to pick up.

Well that's it for now. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still alive and well. Kids are doing good and so are we.

Good bye 2008......... Hello 2009!

WOW! What a busy last couple of weeks. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a Happy New Years. I personally hope that 2009 brings better times for us. (ME specially!) The month of December has been a rough one.

On December 3rd I got into a minor fender bender =( I actually rear ended another van. After all was settled, we were all OK and I drove my van home. The very next day the insurance company came out to do the estimation of damages. Well providing he didn't tell me he was coming I wasnt here and unable to open up the hood for him to look at that damage, he submitted a quote, a quote and an assurance that it was fixable. Well they towed my van off on the following day into Clint Newell and proceeded to tear it apart and re evaluate the damage. After all is said and done....They deemed it a TOTAL LOSS! Which sound great and all but really screws us because we owed more than what they said it was worth. SO after going rounds with the insurance and finance companies.......we ended up with no van and STILL owe money on it! So meanwhile I had been driving a rental but as soon as the insurance company deemed my van a loss they took my rental away! So I then borrowed my mother in laws car until we figure out what we are going to do. Cause I am really not wanting to finance another car seeing how I only had 18 payments left on my van! Well on Sunday morning it had been raining something terrible all night and all day. About 1/2 mile from my house I hydroplaned across the center line on Days Creek Road into the path of an oncoming vehicle that was driving fast! I jerked the wheel back towards my side of the road and ended up wrecking into the ditch and hit a cement culvert and finally coming to a rest about 100 yards up the road(ditch). IN MY MOTHER IN LAWS CAR! SO needless to say I did gather some sore muscles and a headache and a pretty severe whiplash but I did drive the car the rest of the way home. SO I am on the prowl for a good running, reliable vehicle. Keep me in mind if you see one anywhere.

I will leave with a few Christmas pictures. The kids had a really good Christmas and all of our family was safe and sound.

Oh What a Drive....

The Kids at Watson Falls.

South Umpqua Falls
We took a drive out to the South Umpqua Falls on Sunday. The kids had never been to the falls and it had been so long since Jason and I had gone. I figured the falls would be flowing nicely since it had been raining and there had been some snow fall. It was beautiful and it was such a beautiful Fall day. Blue skies and sun shining. I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of the kids. After the falls we continued to drive out past the falls and through the mountains, were we ended up on HWY 138 east out by Lemola Lake. It was an amazing drive. We hit some snow and ran into some hunters. Such a wonderful day to spend with the family in the mountains.

The kids enjoyed the drive. Probably gonna be the last drive before Christmas. We will be busy with the holidays and I have been working some extra shifts to make some extra money for the holidays. LOL Anyways I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!

In other news... My close friend Melissa and her husband Neal will be welcoming a little girl into the world in April of 2009. Congratulations you guys. They are amazing people and wonderful parents already to Ella who is 2 now. I would also like to extend my deepest sympathy to my brother Tommy and his wife Kaci, as they received devastating news last week. The baby that they would be welcoming into the world in May of 2009... they miscarried. It was gods way of protecting them and the baby but not the easiest way because we were all so excited. But they can attempt again in the future, and I am praying that they will. I am so sorry and wish them all the luck in the future.

Pumkin Carving and Halloween

Well I hope everyone is settling in with the season of Fall. I know I am. I love Fall and all the colors. Fall is my favorite time of the year.
The kids had a really good Halloween. We spent the weekend before Halloween at my Best Friends house carving pumpkins and having a little socialization! Jessica just had back surgery a few weeks ago and cant get out much yet so we hung out over there and let the kids carve all the pumpkins.

On Halloween night we headed out to Myrtle Creek to trick or treat Main Street and hit some friends and relatives houses. The night was wonderful and the kids had a blast. They got so much candy we will have enough for next year! LOL I leave you with a few Halloween pictures.

Its been awhile...

Well, sorry that I haven't posted in so long. Things are finally situated and in place at our new home and we are loving every minute of it. We have just finished fencing the bigger field for the kids' horse ~ Dolly ~ and for my horse ~Carmel ~ A nurse at work gave me a 11 year Quarter Horse a few weeks back because she didn't have time for her anymore. So I have been pretty busy riding her and realizing how much I missed riding horses.

We have added a new face to our family. His name is "JAKE" and he is our new "WATCH DOG"!!! LOL He is a 3 month old lab/heeler mix and he is so cute and loves the kids and all our space. HE is a great addition.

The kids are loving the school in Tiller, and Brailee has returned to preschool with Teacher Penny. They are all getting into the swing of our crazy schedules. I am still working the NOC shift at the hospital and Jason is still hauling those logs.
ON Sunday my brother, Tommy, and sister in law, Kaci stoped by to give me a gift. What I opened was a baby bib that said I love my Auntie. I am so excited and happy for tem. She is due in May. Congrats to them on the conception of their first child and the beginning of their path down parenthood.

Well that sums it all up for us, we hope all are well and I leave you with a few randoms pics.

Happy Halloween to you all.

Our new home

Our front yard and HUGE porch

Well on August 8th 2008 we moved. We moved to a bigger house with more property. We now live on 15 acres and have a 4 bedroom 2 bath mobile home in Days Creek Oregon. It is so pretty and very peaceful. We have a year round creek that runs through our property at the base of our mountain behind us. The kids are excited to have their own rooms and I am excited to have my own bathroom! LOL We have a beautiful HUGE porch and beautiful views. No neighbors and surrounded by pastures. For those of you who know my husband, you know that this is his heaven. We love it and couldn't be happier. The kids are excited for the move and the new school. Believe it or not they have more opportunity here as far as 4H and FFA. I graduated from Days Creek High with a total of 18 in my graduating class. Its an amazing little town and great schools. We are now settled in and loving life!

Daddy's new log truck

Jason got a new log truck on Friday and he brought it home so we could wash it up. Wyatt and Brailee were so excited. It was like christmas or something around here!
After the two climbed all over it and got all of the excitement out we finally got to business and washed it and fixed a few minor things.

A family day

Since Kimberly has been so sick and unable to do much this summer, we decided to take a trip to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake and a few waterfalls. Jason and I have never been to Diamond Lake so we stopped there first. It was a busy place and full of mosquito's! We ate lunch at the lodge and headed to Crater Lake. The last time Jason and I went there was before we had kids. The kids loved it and the whole history behind it fascinated them. We then went on and headed home stopping by a few waterfalls ~Clearwater Falls, Whitehorse Falls, Toketee Falls~. We had a nice relaxing day and Kimberly was able to participate in ALL of the activities. Besides all mosquito bites, we had a blast and hopefully will do it again soon. I am ending with a few pictures of our trip. LOVE TO ALL

Kimberly's stay in the hospital

As previously blogged, Kimberly has been really sick. She has been battling mono. We are 3 1/2 weeks since her first fever. With mono you need to let it just run its course. Well on Wednesday July 2 when we woke up she was worse than ever! She hadn't eaten in a week and a half and she had stopped basically stopped drinking. So I took her to the doctor. On the way to the doctor I noticed that she was so yellow. The doctor sent us to hospital to be admitted. After we finally got to the floor, we were in room 234, she had already received 2 bags of fluid and started perking up a little it but her urine still looked like PEPSI! So we spent to agonizing nights in the hospital. She did very well with all that was happening. Even the THREE times they had to poke her to get the IV started. She progressed greatly and we were released on the 4th of July! Thank god! Her liver numbers are still not normal so she is still yellow but that will take time. We will follow up wit Dr. Segal and have a ultrasound in a few weeks just to make sure that her spleen and liver are returning to normal size. As for her she is still limited to activity and she is still prone to infection because mono screws with your immune system. But we will be able to enjoy fireworks as a family and hope fully continue on the road to recovery! Thanks to all who prayed for her and to all who took time from their busy schedules to stop by and visit her. It means so much to all of us!

Kimberly is sooo sick....

So our summer has been pretty boring so far. The weather is getting hotter by he day and we still our confined to our house because Kimberly is so sick. She has been battling Mono now for almost 3 weeks. She has done nothing but sleep and run HIGH fevers. Now that we are in our 3rd week she has become sick to her tummy and extremely lethargic. We spent the day receiving IV fluids on Monday and she was a trooper. I just wish that she would start feeling better so she could enjoy her summer break.
Pretty much her home has been on the couch. She sleeps so much. I just wish that I could take all her pain and sickness away. Its gonna be a long, boring summer for her!
